NSL Armour

The NSL troops are finally finished and they need some armour support. I chose two different types for some variety. I decided to airbrush both of these and I m quite happy with the end result even though I haven't used an airbrush in about eight years and the 25 year old compressor still worked fine.

First up is an 8 legged walker MBT with a big gun! The kit comes with three gun options.

The second vehicle is a Cougar Main Battle Tank (tracked) and again it came with three gun options - not sure what gun I've gone with but I like the look of it.

And here's a picture of the two side-by-side.
The only issue I have is with the ariels. I used thin wire but they've kinked to easy. Next time I'll either go for a thicker wire or melt a plastic sprue.

Thanks for taking a look

NSL "PKaZ" Powered Armour Troops Heavy Support Weapons & Hand Weapons

I took a couple of days off at the beginning of the week to get over the last cold that was hanging on and to catch up on some sleep, I returned to work on Wednesday worse than I felt on Sunday. The kids had bought some nasty bug home from school again and all I felt like doing this week was photographing the last troops for the NSL.

Heavy Support Weapons

Hope to have a couple of armoured vehicles on here in the next couple of days - cold permitting.
Take care.

NSL "PKaZ" Powered Armour Troops pack C: Command and Missile

It's been a few weeks since I last posted some finish.ed miniatures  - these Powered Armour Troops have been painted for most of that time and I just didn't get round to posting them. This pack contains figures 3 x Command and 3 x Missile troopers.

and all 6 including one hiding at the back - oops

NSL Panzergrenadier Autocannon teams

I managed a couple of hours in the garage tonight and was able to finish these off though I've just seen a dodgy bit on the rifle in in between the spotters legs in the second photo. Funny how when you look at a pic you see something that wasn't there when you looked at the finished model just a little while before.

As usual thanks for taking the time to look.

NSL Panzergrenadier RAM Mortar teams

I've had a few problems with the laptop this weekend and it cost £40 for a new power pack from a pc superstore (the price of my next Ground Zero Games force). I'm sure I could have got one a lot cheaper on Ebay but the battery was completely dead.

This week's offering is the RAM Mortar teams.

I'm still working on the NSL but I can see the end in sight - just a few more packs of heavy weapons to finish up and then some power armour troops. I wish I had the production speed and quality of the Wargaming Girl !

Thanks for taking the time to look.

NSL Panzergrenadier High-Energy Special Weapons

Well it does seem that it was the browser I was using as these pictures uploaded first time too.

The latest pack from GZG to join my band of NSL brothers is Panzergrenadier High-Energy Special Weapons. I went for a little splash of colour on the weapons to add to the drab colours.

Whilst typing this I'm watching a Sci-fi horror called the Darkest Hour - interesting film about some survivors after an invisible alien invasion.

NSL Panzergrenadier Anti-Armour Support Weapons

I had a few extra hours painting last week and managed to finish this pack and a half off and prep and undercoat a few more packs.

I took the photo's on Saturday and after nightly attemps I finally managed to upload the pictures tonight. I think the browser version I was using was the cause - tried firefox just a few minutes ago and uploaded straight off.

Hope you enjoy.

NSL Panzergrenadier SAW gunners

It's been a bit slow on the hobby front over the last week or so. Last year was disapointing on the painting front - hopefully this year will prove more fruitful.

Anyway this years first completed unit is one more of the Ground Zero Games NSL.

Thanks for dropping by

NSL Panzergrenadier Rifles C

In-between repairing and repainting some Dr Who freebies my boys found with a magazine I managed to finish Rifles pack C. This pack has some similar sculpts to those found in packs A & B but come with closed visors.

The boys were keen to get their Dr Who figures painted and did them as soon they could. The oldest boy used acrylic (I think) and went for a multi coloured look on them. The youngest went for a different colour on each one but couldn't wait to get home so made his auntie paint them with nail varnish !! They smelt lovely.

Anyway thanks for taking the time to read.

NSL Panzergrenadier Command and Comms

I managed to finish off the Command and Comms pack last night and with the warm-up this afternoon I was able to spray-varnish them.
I was quite happy with the finished look until I just looked at the up-loaded photos'. I meant to do the belt buckles and the moustache on the single commander has not come out as dark as i thought it had. Oh well back to the paint.

Thanks for looking.

NSL Panzergrenadier Rifles B

I had some time yesterday and managed to finish off the painting and then varnish the figures.
Today I removed the finished based figures from the flat head nails I always glue them to for ease of praying and painting.
One of the figures was determined not to part from its nail and snapped off at the ankles. A quick repair job involving a pin-vice, superglue, model filler and a quick touch up and it looked nearly as good as the rest.

NSL Panzergrenadier Rifles A

I've managed to get this pack of NSL done sooner than I thought and I'm making progress on rifles pack B, hoping to get these finished over the weekend.
The figures are sprayed with a German dark yellow, washed with sepia. Vallejo Russian uniform is used on the helmet and some of the armour with green grey on the visor. The rifles were painted with panzer grey (Cote d'Arms) and highlighted with slate grey.

Thanks for taking the time to view.

Ground Zero Games New Swebian League

After the 28mm Scotland Yard figures it's back now to 15mm with Ground Zero Games NSL.

First up is the Panzer Grenadier Fanbikes (v15-104). They come 2 to a pack and are easy to put together and sprayed up nicely.
A thank you to whoever mentioned the blue tack way to mask when spraying - great idea and easy to use.

I'm working on the Panzer Grenadier Rifles pack A&B at the moment and hope to have some ready to photograph next weekend.

Hope you enjoy and thanks for dropping by.
