Dead man's hand

I haven't done much painting in the last week as I'm having issues with my radial muscles on my painting arm. On Wednesday I managed to start painting this chap from Great Escape Games. Tex Miller is a Sheriff character and I painted the majority of the figure with contrast/speed paints as I didn't know how much painting I could do. GW contrast darkoath flesh is a little pale for me so I'm try the speed paints version.

I'm reasonably happy with the finish though the base is still to be done.

Take care.

Wings of Glory

Thursday might at the club was Wings of Glory campaign night.

Campaign nights usually involves a & b flights from both the central powers and the Entente fighting out the same mission on two tables. My pilot, Lt. Rene Delon, flies a Spad XIII and the mission was 'Stop the bombers' with the hun flying two fighters and two Gotha bombers and the Entente flying 4 fighters.

The result of our b flight game was a  resounding success for our flight. I managed to take down the last bomber after it received a lot of damage from the ack-ack guns.

Over and out chaps.

Dead Man's Hand

Just finished this group of Lawmen for Dead Man's Hand. The group consists of a Sheriff, a Marshal, 4 deputies and 2 citizens.

These are lovely plastic figures from Great Escape Games plastic Gunfighter set. My only dislike is the size of the silver star but I'm sure this the best way to do it.

4 years

I had a look at my blog and it's been nearly 4 years since my last post.

Well what's been happening? Painting etc is still on the go with many new and varied projects being undertaken.

And the club is still going strong with a nice range of games being sampled and a some being payed on a regular basis.

I hope to be back sharing tales of games at the club and the hobby at home.

One of my latest endeavours has been the buildings and figures for dead man's hand.

This prisoner wagon was finished yesterday.

Thanks for stopping by.
